Configuring an NNTP account

The user should be able to configure an NNTP account of his/ her choice

Goto evolution settings and select the accounts tab. Click on add. Enter the email address and click on next. Select the USENET news from the server list and type the hostname of the server. Leave the username empty. Click on next and select the options. Select sending mail server type as the default account settings or any other account settings.

The newsgroups should be added with the list of subscribed folders and their contents shown.

Subscribing to folders

The user should be able to subscribe to the folders (s)he wishes to.

Goto tools > subscribe to folders. From the server list select the newsgroup server and select the folders from the list of folders shown and click on subscribe

The folders should be subscribed and its contents should be shown when accessed in evolution

Posting a message

The user should be able to post a message to the newsgroup

i) Select the folder to which a message is to be posted. Goto actions and select post a message ii) Goto actions > post a message. Click on post-to and select a folder belonging to the newsgroup to which the message is to be posted iii) Select a message and move the message to the newsgroups folder

The compose mail window should be opened with the name of the folder in the post-to field

Accessing the messages

The user should be able to access messages in the newsgroup

i) Open a message ii) Delete a message iii) mark a message iv) Flag a message for follow-up

The user should be able to access all the messages in the subscribed folders.

Replying to a message

The user should be able to reply to messages in the newsgroup

Select a message and click i) reply ii) reply to all

Should open a compose mail with the name of the folder in the post-to field. If reply to all, then the name of the sender or the mail address mentioned in the reply-to field should be present in the to field

Copying/moving a message

The user should be able to copy/move messages from the subscribed folders

Select a message and click on move/ copy. Select a destination folder i) the same folder from which it is being moved/ copied ii) another folder that belongs to the same newsgroup iii) a folder that belongs to another newsgroup iv) a local folder v) a folder on the server of the email the user is using

The message should be moved/ copied to the selected folder

unsubscribe to folders

The user should be able to unsubscribe to folders to which he has already subscribed

Goto tools > subscribe to folders. From the server list select the newsgroup server. Select the folder to which the user has already subscribed and click on unsubscribe. i) Unsubscribe to all the folders ii) Unsubscribe to a folder which has not been subscribed iii) Unsubscribe to one or more but not all the folders iv) Do not unsubscribe to any folders

For folders which have not been subscribed, the unsubscribe button should be disabled. Otherwise the folders should get unsubscribed and the folders and its contents should not be accessible by the user from evolution

Folder operations should not be allowed to be done by the user

Folder operations like renaming, deleting a folder, creating a new folder, copying/ moving a folder should not be allowed to be done by the user

When the options are accessed and the operation is done, i.e., clicked on OK, an error dialog should pop-up with the relevant error message
